How to Say "Wait" in Malayalam

In short: To ask someone to wait, say ഒരു നിമിഷം (oru nimisham) ("one moment") or ഒരു മിനിറ്റ് (oru minute). "Stop / hold on" is നിൽക്ക് (nilkku).

Oru nimisham / oru minute are the polite "just a sec". Nilkku is a quick, casual "wait / stop".
