How to Say "Enough" in Malayalam

Mathi — Enough / that's enough

In short: To say "enough", just say മതി (mathi). "That's enough" is അത് മതി (athu mathi). At a meal, "enough, thanks" is മതി, നന്ദി (mathi, nandi). Mathi also means "that'll do".

Mathi is a lifesaver at the dinner table to stop generous hosts from over-serving. It also means "that's sufficient / that'll do".
